As balance is at the centre of wellness psychologically, spiritually and physically both in the recovery and maintenance of our total health and that of our environment; this makes balance and maintenance the central essential focus of our approach.
Since our modern world has taken people out of their environment, it is for the centre to assist the need for people to reconnect with their primal roots. From there we provide the work for the re-enforcement of health, balanced self esteem and worth, as well as knowledge as to our place in society and the world. In addition, a balanced and realistic, truthful knowledge of self, and ones state and condition pursued through advancement of self-betterment through manual work and the learning of a life skill and vocational skill. In conjunction, learning and mastering the tools to stay the course after leaving the centre. The wellness rural centre is run as a two week introductory program for those not convinced of what they need. After that a two month program or a four month program maybe offered.
Depending on need and volume of requests, we may also initiate much longer programs of intensive study and living. Some of these can run simultaneously yet others must run by themselves uninterrupted. And in some cases for some clients this may become a much longer stay and will be looked at on an individual basis.
While programs are running, the centre is open to day visitors who would only interact with the program participants during eating and meditation and Zikr (circle of unity) times. Although we do not encourage or discourage any one faith or religion, it will be up to the participants whether they wish to partake in their own traditions and up to the other participants whether they wish to experience the traditions of others or stay away from them. For example if a participant wishes to invite people and cook for Hanukkah, Diwali, Eid or Easter and do the rituals this should be encouraged and open for clients to participate in, on these special days. The idea behind this is to experience other cultures and faith traditions in an effort to enhance tolerance and understanding as well as experiencing the sameness in the variance of humankind (Unity Thru Diversity).
The Centre should never be empty. And we will offer the use of the premises to groups, organizations or corporations and provide whatever they may requested and is within our capabilities to provide in the way of cooks, instructors, programming or supervision.
