Regardless of age, education and background; we believe that most of us able to become proficient in basic computer skills. If introduced in the right way, computers and the Internet can become a major part of our lives.

In these workshops we show you how to overcome your 'fear' of computers by teaching you the basics in simple language. You will be able to apply your newly acquired skills almost immediately to your needs.

Our volunteer computer experts each have a minimum of 10 years working in the IT (Information Technology) industry. The first thing we work on is overcoming the ‘fear’ of technology. Once someone understands the power of this modern tool and is properly introduced to its functions through a series of fun and easy steps; everything else about computers, software and the internet become a joy and a great learning experience.

In our first week we will cover the basics, — what’s the difference between RAM and hard hard drive. Next you will be taught how to assemble your own computer, printer and modem. We will also begin our internet workshops by helping you register for an email and Instant Messenger accounts, learn basic “Netiquette” and send messages to other people in the class and around the world.
